Helena Björelius

Helena has her Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden. She is a specialist in childhood motor speech disorders and is a MNRI Core Specialist and Instructor of Oral-Facial Reflex Integration level 1 and 2, amongst others. Helena is interested in the co-existence of different motor functions and sensory motor processes from a speech and language pathologist point of view. She has published two articles on this topic, in 2015 and 2017. Prior to Speech and Language Pathology, Helena worked for 25 years as a mime actress and director which comprised working with body movement on stage and in education with many different techniques and methods. She was introduced to the MNRI work about 10 years ago which brought a new dimension to her professional and personal life. She is very happy to have found MNRI and to have the opportunity to work with the international MNRI team.
